Oxy-Dry Electrostatic Sprayers

Q:  I will need to equip my press with a sprayer.
What type of sprayer is appropriate for my press?

A:  If your press is designed to operate up to 13,000 IPH, then Oxy-Dry’s roller-type Electrostatic Sprayer is appropriate for your operation. This sprayer will deliver an even layer of powder for superior offset protection.

For today’s high-speed presses that operate in excess of 13,000 IPH, Oxy-Dry offers our newly patented AeroTrue™ Sprayer. This pneumatic sprayer is designed to overcome air turbulences generated by the movement of the high speed gripper bars and delivery fans found in these high speed presses.

Q:  Offset is a problem for me on occasion.
How can I prevent waste caused by offsetting a job?

A:  The use of a sprayer device that applies anti-offset powders will effectively reduce your offset problems. Oxy-Dry manufactures a complete line of anti-offset equipment and an extensive product line of anti-offset spray powders that effectively deal with this problem. The type of press you have and the work you do will determine the type of powder sprayer and anti-offset powder you will select.

Ink Agitators
Q:  Are Ink Agitators still used today?

A:  Yes. Although ink fountain designs have improved, Ink Agitators still offer preventative value. When ink is not properly agitated, a skin forms on the ink surface. As it dries, this ink skin can break into small particles which eventually appear as hickeys on the printed substrate.

Q:  Do Ink Agitators work with UV inks?

A:  Yes. Ink Agitators work especially well with UV inks because they require a smooth ink flow to the nip of the roller and doctor blade.

Short Wave and Medium Wave IR Drying Systems
Q:  Why should I consider an Oxy-Dry Drying System for my press?

A:  Infrared Drying on sheetfed presses is a proven technology to reduce drying times for increased press speeds. Today’s faster presses require increased IR to provide press speed drying. The Oxy-Dry System is a superior choice for sheetfed presses because it offers a unique approach utilizing IR Short Wave and IR Medium Wave technology supported by air manipulation technology to maximize its drying power.<
